This great café in the St-Germain district is definitely among the best cozy bars and restaurants in Paris – and for several reasons. It sits on a charming little square and has a great terrace which usually has extra cozy decorations in winter. Inside, Le Hibou has dark walls, old-style paintings, and low lighting that add to its appeal, but the best is yet to come.
Upstairs, it has a fantastic fireplace lounge with cushy leather armchairs, so try to land a seat here. The café also has really delicious hot chocolate, which is the perfect beverage to warm you up on a chilly day.

Le Loir dans la Théière
You almost don’t even notice this tea salon and restaurant while walking on the rue des Rosiers, but it’s a local favorite in the Marais. As you go through the doors, you’ll enter a series of rooms that have a playful decor of mix-matched armchairs, sofas, and posters plastered on the walls. Le Loir dans la Théière is a great option for a lunch of warming quiches and daily specials or teatime with their FANTASTIC cakes and pies.
Their desserts are displayed on a large wooden counter so pick one out yourself. This is a very hard task as they all look delicious, but if you’re having trouble deciding, their lemon meringue pie is to die for.

If you’re looking for a cozy romantic restaurant, then you can’t go wrong with this uber quaint place. Situated on a quiet lane in the non-touristy part of the Latin Quarter, its facade is covered in enchanting ivy. With a working fireplace, stone walls, and exposed wooden beams, the interiors make you feel like you’re at a countryside inn.
The Coupe Chou’s menu changes with the seasons, but in autumn and winter, you can expect cozy dishes like mushroom soup with goat cheese ravioli, duck breast baked in a gingerbread crust, and vegan-friendly roasted cauliflower marinated in maple syrup and old-fashioned mustard – yum!

La Maison Francois 1er
If you’re looking for a cozy place near the Champs-Élysées, head straight here. In an area where finding a great place to eat is no easy feat, La Maison Francois 1er is a very welcome surprise. Just off the busy avenue, this cozy little spot has that classic Parisian bistro atmosphere that amps up the coziness with intimate tables, wood paneling, velour banquettes, and soft lighting.
You’ll also warm up with its excellent French menu of French onion soup and steak-frites, and vegetarians can indulge in paccheri à la vodka, pasta with a creamy tomato sauce. The rich chocolate mousse will give you that extra boost to carry on your sightseeing or have a great night’s sleep back at your hotel.

The Bar of Jules and Jim Hotel
After exploring the North Marais, stop in for a hot drink or cocktail at the bar of this artsy boutique hotel. Named after French New Wave director François Truffaut’s cult film, Jules and Jim, its terrace has a fantastic outdoor terrace that has a working fireplace in winter. It’s open to outside guests and is a great place to warm up in a cool trendy setting.

Petrelle
This perfectly romantic restaurant in the South Pigalle neighborhood is another of the best cozy bars and restaurants in Paris. Only open for dinner (except on Saturday and Sunday), Petrelle has a small fireplace, candles on the tables, a flame projected onto a stone wall, and an eclectic mix of furniture.
You can’t get much cozier than that! Its seasonal menu has nice and cozy winter dishes like creamy roasted squash soup, Gnocchi with wild mushrooms, and pork loin confit with Paimpol beans and salsa verde.

Les Cuivres
For more modern coziness, try this restaurant in the hip 11th arrondissement. Les Cuivres has a whimsical ambiance with long sofa seating with throw pillows, fairy lights, and an old-school zinc bar. We love the vibe, but also its great bistronomic cuisine, which includes some vegetarian and vegan dishes.
